About the Trade Fair “LASER World of PHOTONICS”
As world’s leading trade fair for components, systems and applications in photonics, the “LASER World of PHOTONICS” is the measure of all things. Every 2 years industrial companies from all over the world meet there and show their latest products. At the same time, a congress will be held at the exhibition center, where scientists and professors will present current results from research and science. As a result, industry and research will join forces during the fair to work together on the challenges of the future.
The laser technology (L.A.S.E.R = Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) is the basis for a variety of achievements and inventions from science and industry. The term “Photonics” in the name of the fair describes the scientific branch of photonics, ie the basic technology for application methods for the transmission, storage and processing of information. Manufacturers in this field are represented in the sectors of lighting (for example LED technology), mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and medical technology.
